Hi Reader,

This FAKE email is making its rounds to YouTube Creators informing them that their channel is being terminated.

Subject line: “We regret to inform you that your privileges with your channel have been limited as a result of violations of our community guidelines.”

The Email:

Of course, this is FAKE and did not come from YouTube.

What happens when you click on the link?

The link is NOT a YouTube link. When you click on it, this is what you see:

They ask for your Full Name, Your Login Email Address, and your YouTube Username.

Once you click on Submit, you will just see a spinning circle as it “processes”:

3 things to note:

1) The link in the email goes to one URL and then automatically re-directs to another URL where this form is hosted. They do this so that the anti-virus will not flag the URL as malicious and block it.

Should this website be shut down, the URL will just redirect to another website and they don’t have to re-send that Phishing email.

2) They ask for the Login email address as this is the most important element. Once they have the email address, then they can shift their attack to access your channel. Which is why we always hide that!

I show you this in the FREE training check it out if you haven’t seen it.

3) I ran this on a secure Linux computer and with some software, and it looks like this is an Infostealer; malware that steals your tokens.

This means that the hacker could bypass your 2-factor authentication and take over your YouTube account and any other accounts you are logged into.

What should you do if you get this email?

DELETE IT.

But be on the lookout for a new variation of this type of email as hackers continue to use AI and continue to attack Creators.

BIG Shoutout to my friend Roberto Blake for making me aware of this email!

Keep safe out there,
